Seven years ago, Atlantic City’s gross gaming revenues were 5.2-billion, last year it was 2.8. Wood has seen a number of schemes and businesses come and go. Here is our annual Veterans Day discounts list. Gros says that what’s happening in Atlantic City could be a harbinger for other cities. Another is Martin Wood, who was born in Atlantic City and runs a pawn shop that was established in 1927. Revel Atlantic City hasn’t welcomed a guest in nearly three years, and the shuttered 2.4 billion Boardwalk resort doesn’t show any signs of that changing in the near future. His storefront is now isolated in a hard-to-access stretch of wasteland beyond the Revel’s shell. One of these is Mike Hauke, who moved to Atlantic City and opened a restaurant down the street from the Revel, counting on the business it would bring in. The film also features small-business owners and other locals who witnessed the rise and fall of the Revel.
